Is there a way to get Bunpro to backgrade your items every time you get something wrong?

By standard, it get’s sent back according to how you’ve set up things in settings, but I’m wondering if there is a setting that will allow stuff to get items moved back by an amount, every time I get it wrong.

Say I get something wrong 3 times, I’d like to be able to send it back a stage each time. This way, stuff that I really screw up, even an expert 2 card could be completely flinged to beginner 1, if I keep getting it wrong.

Sometimes it’s so bad, I just have to spam all the hiragana and katanaka, to find the correct answer. I prefer that to just showing the answer as it teaches me a bigger lesson.

I think that’s the one I refer to in the comments, but that only happens once per review. In a review session, you might get a wrong answer, wrong several times. I was thinking of a setting that would decrease the SRS every time you get it wrong, rather than per session so to speak.

I don’t think this exists, but you can achieve a similar result by enabling minimal ghost reviews and setting up a suitable minimal SRS level. That way, you will get a burst of reviews if you get a high-level item wrong twice in the same sitting. There is also always the option to manually drop items further down if you feel it is required.

As @Donutmancer said, I would look into the settings for Ghosts. When you get something wrong, it will go down an SRS level as has already been pointed out, but with the Ghosts, you will get a separate SRS group for those items, so you will see them frequently over the next couple of days. and if you’re getting the ghost answer incorrect, that can also prevent you from progressing through the 4 levels in the ghosts, so it will continue to “haunt” you until you get it right first try more frequently.

Between the degraded SRS alone in WK, and the degraded SRS + Ghost combination available in Bunpro, I’m finding that I really like the ghost system. It definitely helps reinforce it when I’m clearly needing it, but they disappear quickly enough that I don’t find them to be a nuisance.
