Is there any way I can reset my account? (and do you have any study advice?)

Hey there. I’m a new-er bunpro user. My account level just seems higher than it should be because I’ve linked my WaniKani account, and sunk a lot of time into that before I learned about BunPro.
I believe this was a mistake.
Recently, I took a month or so off to focus on school and work and I’ve accrued 800 BunPro reviews. I have managed to whittle the 560 or so WaniKani reviews down to a manageable daily number but just thinking about all of those BunPro reviews seems so daunting. I haven’t even started using BunPro in the learning way it’s been intended for, I’ve just been doing reviews from WaniKani ever since I linked my account. Additionally, BunPro reviews seem to take so much longer than WaniKani ones for whatever reason–that’s not a knock on BunPro, I like BunPro, that’s just my personal user experience.

In your opinion, should I reset my account so I can start fresh? I think this would help me, but it may also just be my laziness showing through. Is this even a possible thing to do? Please advise.

Hey there friend!

First: Yes you can reset your whole account, here is how.

I’d recommend against it! You can just put Wanikani vocab on the backburner and work on bunpro. And then when you have extra capacity, you can do work through your wanikani vocab at your leisure!

Here is how to do that!

Add the WaraKani Deck . Then go to Learn Queue Decks , and you can manually target your bunpro decks for review.

Then you can work through Bunpro normally, and do a few wanikani vocab each day until you’re through it!

(I asked this question yesterday because I was so overwhelmed with reviews, this was the best advice I got!)

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
