Issues with using Bunpro to study vocab

I want to speed run the n1 vocab deck for extra reading practice, but the way the site functions is painfully slow.

Lets say I do 10 new cards a day:
Since I already know a lot of n1 vocab I end up clicking the mark as mastered button for 70% of cards. This button takes 5 ish seconds to process. On top of this , marked as mastered get subtracted for the 10 newly learn list. so you end up having to press the keep studying button at the end to que up more words until you hit the 10 a day goal.

Overall this function should have no lag time, be controlled by a hotkey and not subtract from the 10 a day initial list.

Unless this gets fixed it is unusable for learning vocab and I`ll just stick to anki.

Is it possible to fix I wonder?

Yeah, that one can be a bit tricky!

We’re definitely working on making things better, but for now, a good workaround is to mark the vocab you already know as mastered before hitting the Learn button.

If you click Decks at the top and open the specific deck you’re learning, it’ll show all the items there. You can then use the 3 dots menu to mark the ones you already know.

Not ideal, I know, but it’s something you can do right now so it doesn’t slow down your learning.

Thanks for the reply! Ill probably just wait till there is a fix before doing it or just use the 塾 feature to sentence mine with anki for extra vocab coverage. Im still an anki fan but the bunpro sentence shuffling is a nice advantage and for that reason I appreciate the product :).

I’m running into a similar problem as I’m trying to learn vocab on bunpro that I haven’t been exposed to from Anki practice over the years. This means mastering vocab that is already on Anki, so in the case of N5 and N4 I’m mastering over 90% of the total words before even beginning to study. The issue is clicking “Know All” on a lesson never works the first time. Nor, by and large, does it work on the second, third or fourth try, but instead masters a random number of them but leaves others unmastered. This translates to an experience that essentially boils down to spamming the “Know all” button over and over, refreshing over and over until it finally masters everything. This has to be done for each individual lesson and can take a long time.

As of now your better just sticking to anki and just skimming the whole list at once glance to pick words you dont know.
