時給 (じきゅう) - hourly wage
上 (うえ) = above
·円周率· - some number…
やった!Thank you so much. Ever since I learned this word I’ve been wanting to use it here. It is one of those cases where the name is its definition. Have already guessed what it is?
I will admit that I had to look it up because I didn’t know the other kanji/words besides “circle.”
壺(つぼ)pot/jar
I just randomly found this kanji. It’s beautiful!
actually, I guess the proper name should really be ··円周径率··. In any case, it is a beautiful word.
Indeed!
Riddle guess
Hm, the first one is “Circle” and the second one is “Cirumference” (I don’t know the last kanji yet, sorry haha), so it has probably got to do something with the circumference of a circle. You said that it’s some number, and the only number that comes to my mind right now that has got to do with circles is pi (3.14159265358979323…), which is the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter.
My guess is pi
Prima!
That it is. The third kanji, 率, is ratio. That is why I think it should more properly be called 円周径率, circle-circumference-to-diameter (径)-ratio aka Pi.
帽子 (ぼうし) = Hat.
That can only be
Pi = 3.14159265359
As the wise mind that once used the word オッパイ、a word used in excitement upon realizing someone has made you a pie (how sweet of them), your other choice would’ve been fine as well w
・正気・ ー Sanity, Sobriety
And that it is, the one and only irrational pie, I mean, Pi, the circumference-to-diameter ratio.
気持ち - feeling (this might be also considered one of those choices)
駐車場 (ちゅうしゃじょう) = Parking Lot.
·条約· - treaty
(literally, promise-in-clauses)
蜘蛛の巣 (くものす) = Spiderweb (lit. Spider’s nest).
末 (すえ) = the END
@Pablunpro here you could’ve used pi again, if you hadn’t used it already
I wonder why you were never able to use it before? After all, there are quite a few words that end in え
葡萄蔓虫 (えびづるむし) = clearwing moth larva
·支出額· - amount of expenditures
Thanks again. I learned the word quite recently and ever since I learned it no え-ending word showed up in the game. Now, if you give a word ending in ね some number may show up…
黒金 (くろがね) = iron
I’m gonna be honest: I had to do some research to find a word beginning with く and ending with ね, it appears like I don’t know a lot of words that end in ね lol
But at least I know both kanji that make up this word, so I can remember it because black gold is, in a way, just iron lol
ネイピア数 - some other number…
Danke sehr! In fact, that is why in English you say ‘blacksmith’ to name a smith that specifically works on iron, the black metal.
If you look for the metal mercury in Japanese, you will see that it is 水銀, water(y)/liquid silver, quite similar to ‘quicksilver’, another word for mercury in English, and to the original name in latin, hydrargyrum or… liquid silver!
生まれ (うまれ) = birthplace
Thanks for the info, that is very interesting to know
As for the number, it took me a while to figure it out, because I didn’t know that Euler’s number is also called the Nepier-number! It was quite a surprise for me when I searched for Nepier, so I didn’t solve this one quite on my own
Btw, do you speak German? I kinda have the feeling because “Prima” and “Danke sehr” are German Also, do you like Math, since you seem to like numbers? I personally love it!
