I agree with Lyrith-san, through my practice I’ve come across lots of mimetic words:ギリギリ、ウキウキ、ドタバタ、etc.
Even in Bunpro:どんどん、だんだん、etc.
Some are pretty straightforward, but some have lots of nuances: like ギリギリ being a grinding sound, but also used for doing something at the last possible second etc. Fun, and its amazing how once you learn their meaning, it just makes sense? Like the sound makes total sense.
