I was going to use that above word or the simplified 留守, tricky to think of る words off the top of my head. Eventually down the line when my production improves I’d like to start making sentences out of the word we write. From there it’d be fun to do simple sentences that kind of are related to the previous word someone used. Challenging, but could be a lil fun!

That’s exactly what I did, I couldn’t think of any る words other than 留守 then I thought of 留守番 which led to 留守番電話. We must both be WK users haha.
I like those ideas. It could be fun to add a sentence with a blank that the next person has to fill in (and it make sense) along with keeping the しりとり rules. I think the game would die out faster if it was more effort though, right now just having to comment a single word keeps it quick and encourages people to play.

One could use [Ctrl]+[F] to search the topic to check their word wasn’t used previously. But of course this method won’t be able to determine which game the word was used in if there were multiple rounds. (And apparently, as I just found out, it will also check the dialogue box as you type your comment, interestingly enough).
