thank you man!! didnt see that i can change it myself

Don’t know where else to post this, but I need to get it out there.
I’m at a 849 day streak and at pace to get the 1000 streak badge around when next Decembers JLPT results come back which is a good time for me to completely move on from Bunpro since I don’t really need it anymore.
I don’t have many reviews left to do and I don’t really need them either since they show in immersion. I no longer get my streak from hitting mastered on something I already studied in Anki. I don’t feel like cramming one word a day for a streak I don’t need.
It’s not a big deal, but I like numbers and badges. I have no reviews tomorrow. I turned off the streak counter today. Tomorrow at midnight I shall say farewell to my beloved Bunpro streak at 849.
Congratulations on graduating from Bunpro! May I ask how long you have been studying? Have to assume you are confident in passing N1 this coming December.
4000-5000 hours in a span of around 2.5 years.
Maybe I can sneak in another 500 hours before December.
I’m not going to pretend this is reasonable.
I think I could have maybe clutched out a ぎりぎりpass at the 1.5 year mark if I spent a few months focusing on listening to cover my at the time striking weak spot, but who knows. It doesn’t really matter. I do feel pretty confident in passing, not sure if I can get a score that will make me feel satisfied, but improving and having fun is the goal so it will be fine.
The streak don’t matter. The faster you let it go the better off you’ll be.
Something like that happened to me. When I review on Android it’s usually 'cause I’m offline/not around WiFi. One day I forgot to sync when I got home and did it after midnight but before the 3AM rollover. At first it looked like it didn’t register my reviews correctly, so I was annoyed with the idea of my review schedule getting thrown off. But after poking different stats I think ultimately the SRS/review periodicity wasn’t affected. Despite this there’s a hole in my review timeline.
It seemed like different parts of Bunpro were treating the review’s completion time/date differently. Still not really sure though. Ultimately, once I figured out my upcoming reviews were seemingly unaffected I kinda lost interest in investigating further.
I agree on streaks not mattering. If you really want to learn something you will try to do something every day anyways. I feel like trying to leverage artificial guilt into studying is never gonna be a good idea in the long term. Too many days of stressing then doing 10 minutes of “studying” for a week straight when just letting a day go by would end up in being able to mentally handle more studying, or immersion or whatever.
