Made an offline JLPT vocab app, looking for honest feedback

Edit (Oct 30): rewrote this after the replies below. Fair points, all of them.

Hey all. I made this, so I’m obviously biased. I’m posting mostly because I want honest opinions from people who actually do SRS every day.

What it is: a JLPT vocab flashcard app (N5 to N1) where everything lives on the phone, so it works on a plane or underground. No account. Answering a few things from the replies:

Price. Free to try, and the full version is a one-time $29.99. No subscription. I should have said that up front instead of making you install it to find out. Sorry about that.

Screenshots. The site screenshots were all Korean, which was a dumb mistake on my part. The English page has English ones now.

Where the words come from. English meanings are from JMdict, and the example sentences with their English translations are from Tatoeba. I didn’t write or generate any of those. The meanings in other languages (Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese) were machine translated, so those are the weak spot.

Next to Bunpro. It’s vocab only, no grammar. If Bunpro’s vocab already works for you, you probably don’t need this, and that’s fine.

The thing I’m actually unsure about is the review buttons. There are only two, “don’t know” and “know”, and FSRS sets the interval. I dropped Hard and Easy because four choices meant hesitating on every single card. Do you actually use Easy/Hard in your SRS, or would two buttons drive you nuts?

To be honest it seems to be doing exactly what Bunpro already offers, except probably vibe-coded and with less words and examples. But that’s only based on my impression, which is probably incomplete since all the screenshots provided in your front site are in korean for some reason.

Sorry pal but making me download the app just to view “my” price is a HUGE red flag.
