Finally made it back through to N3 and have to say that It its was a considerably greater joy than the first time since I reset which itself was fabulous. Much has changed since Corona, principally my returning to America and return to Japan in the last few months. It was very hard to see the progress I had made living and learning in the local environment slip away in quarantine.
The first time I went through Bunpro I had really had a revolution about language learning and started evangelizing the site to all that could hear me and I did manage a few converts. This second time through I find that there are so many less caveats required when I sing the praises. So thanks team for making such a commendable product.
I took a much more relaxed approach this time around. I had been grinding 10 points a day and around 100 reviews a day between work and life, which does not even take into account Anki. However that paired with the daily immersive environment was incredible.
This time around, I being separated from Japan I took a slower pace of only 5 new points when I felt like it and 40 reviews max a day, but usually much less. I wanted to take the time soak up all the hard work that the team puts into each example sentences.
Along with this I really enjoy seeing the site slowly mutate. They may be frustrated with some of my hastily crafted tickets; however, to their credit the team ever since the time I had to email suggestions concerning what is now the structure legend, to the minutia of translation particularities have responded with aplomb.
I am so happy to have seen this site and community grow. I am actually going to take a break from new grammar points for a while as I think I was to focus on building up my vocabulary again, and as I have recently returned to Japan (HMU if you want to get some drinks). I need to double down on my speaking comfortability which has started to come back.
As always this is just a quickly crafted thought on the wind and many words to say thank you.
