I’ve come across some words that didn’t have example sentences, so I decided to add 8 self study sentences to each word. The problem is that now I have a bunch of reviews because they seem to have all been added to reviews at once. Is there any way to make them function like regular example sentences so I can review then one by one?
They should appear with the same SRS intervals as anything else on the site. (Is that not the case for you?)
So what you could do is just do a few of those reviews every now and then, to space them out.
A tip for this is to sort your reviews to be in “descending” order in the settings during reviews, then just do as many of those “Beginner 1” self-study sentences as you want at the end of each review session.
They are appearing with the same SRS levels as everything else. that part is fine. The thing is that, every self study sentence I added got put in reviews at the same time, and the vocab word without the example sentence still pops up.
I thought it was going to be like a regular vocab word that has example sentences, where the word just pops up every time it’s due for a review and it rotates through the sentences one by one. Is there not a way to make it function like that? If there’s no way to make it work like that, I’m just gonna delete the self study sentences.
I don’t believe it can currently work in the way you’d like, unfortunately – though having your own example sentences might help with learning the word by so much repetition that you get it by brute force!
