I’ve decided to create a study log for myself so I do not flood the forum with posts. It’ll serve as me sharing my goals, findings, mistakes and other things that I will encounter in my Japanese journey especially in my immersion that is getting near.

A week is left before I will force myself to start immersing and only now I have noticed I can change the order in which vocabulary will be shown to me.
I think it would have been beneficial if I found out about this earlier, but given there still is a week left, it’ll help a lot if I’d switch the order to frequency in anime which will be my main source for immersion. This is not an excuse to watch even more anime.
And yes, I have stopped using Anki for building pre-immersion vocabulary. I’ll only use Anki for words that are not on Bunpro or do not have any example sentence.

Today I have started to immerse in Japanese. I did around 43 minutes today. It was fun. Now I understand why people recommended me immersion.
I’ve got back to using Anki for vocabulary.
What did you do for immersion?
Three episodes of からかい上手の高木さん. I eventually decided to also watch third episode for that day. So a bit over one hour of immersion that day. I think I’ll set it as my minimum for immersion.

I have immersed for 1 hour 34 minutes and 26 seconds in Japanese today. I also have immersed for an hour in German, but that is off-topic.
Today I have learned 25 words in Anki. From now on, I’ll start using the easy button for loanwords that sound almost the same like they do in English. I do not want to waste time on words like ニュース or バス.
I have learned 5 grammar points on Bunpro and have crammed every grammar point a few times. I might cram them all one more time this evening. I have thoughts telling me to increase the daily load of grammar, but I think 5 grammar points a day is good enough.

Immersed for about 1 hour and 34 minutes. Learned 25 new words in Anki. Learned 5 grammar points on Bunpro. Will cram all the grammar points I’ve encountered until now.
I plan to eventually get to immersing for 2 hours a day (same for German).
