Hey!
Whats up everyone ? How are you doing in japanese journey ?
I’m the creator of YumeGo, a free Chrome extension I built with a friend to learn Japanese naturally while watching Netflix.
The idea came from my own frustration: I was constantly pausing episodes, googling words, checking grammar points, jumping between dictionaries… it completely killed the flow.
YumeGo analyzes Japanese subtitles in real time.
You just hover over a word or a sentence and everything shows up instantly: translation, grammar, particles, readings, context — and if you want to go deeper, you can trigger a full AI-powered sentence analysis.
We’ve just launched the beta, so it’s not perfect yet and we’re actively looking for feedback from Japanese learners. 一緒に頑張りましょう
What YumeGo currently offers:
Real-time Japanese subtitle analysis on Netflix
AI sentence analysis to fully understand meaning, structure, and nuance
Word & grammar popups (vocabulary, particles, verb forms, JLPT level)
Context-aware translations (not just literal word-for-word)
Save words and sentences while watching
ANKI export to turn what you learn into flashcards instantly
A simple, clean interface that stays out of the way while you watch
YumeGo is still growing. What you see now is just the foundation — we have lots of ideas for the future and we’re building it step by step based on real learner feedback.
This project is my Yume (my dream): learning Japanese through immersion, without killing the fun of watching anime or series.
If you want to start (or continue) your Japanese journey in a more natural way, feel free to try it out.
