Mixed master mode

Hello, I don’t know if this is a crazy idea but

I currently do my vocab reviews in translation mode, because the sentence mode would just take way too long for my current goals. HOWEVER, I feel like I can’t truly let a word become “mastered” in translation mode, because I only learned how to recognise it. But, I don’t want to change all my reviews to sentence mode, and I have so many learned items that covering my bases in cram is unfeasible.

SO, I would like to suggest an ability to toggle WHAT MODE master items would appear as.
If I do my normal reviews (pre mastered items) in translation, but when they hit master I could enable the sentence type, I think that would help me know if I really did master them WHILE still managing my overall vocabulary load.

I know that bunpro doesn’t currently support mixed review types, but I wondered if this kind of setup could be more feasible to create.

What do people think?

ETA; also apologies if this is a little confusing, I set my bunpro to Japanese so I can’t remember the exact terms for site features!

We were working on a dynamic Review Type system, but it got sidelined.

^This would solve your problem I’m guessing yeah?
Different configurable Review Types at different levels?

This would be a super awesome feature, hoping it gets un-sidelined at some point! All of my reviews are currently set to cloze, but I’d love to be able to set some of the higher levels to reading.

Gosh, I know investing in life time Bunpro membership is worthwhile, but it keeps getting better days by days.

I’m so glad you recommended this! I’m in the exact same spot and have been hoping for this in my workflow

Is “sentence mode” the mode where you input your own solution to a translation via keyboard?

I think so… I’m bad at explaining… it’s like the same mode we use for grammar
