More minute selection for Cram

Is it possible to add more minute selection options for Cram? As of right now, it is either do whole NX or manually select the lessons. If I wanted to practice all the grammar of Genki II 15, I would have to manually select them every time I want to initiate a cram session. This is quite annoying and wastes a lot of time.

I personally don’t much care about grammar SRS and I am hesitant to subscribe since the only feature that I really liked is half-baked. Is there any plan to improve Cram with more features and finer controls?

Right now Cram function is indeed limited to what you’re able to select in that initial screen. We apologize for any inconvenience that might’ve caused. :bowing_man:

That said, we are planning to upgrade it into a more customizable and frictionless version in the near future. I can’t give you a specific date for the upgrade, but it is on our pipeline.

Can you also add a feature to cram through my ghosts? I believe it can be a really nice thing to have.

BTW I’ve also bought a lifetime subscription for my fiancée so now she is also aware that GHOSTS ACTUALLY DO EXIST.

Would there be interest in purely a daily ghost cram function or would you (and others) be interested in extending that time slot to become all ghosts accumulated in a week or even a month?

That is possibly an option, but we would need to examine a few things before implementing something like that.

If you were cramming ghosts, you are far more likely to memorize the sentence, rather than the actual grammar point. :sweat:

I think a good ‘medium’ ground would be cramming recommended ‘groups’ of grammar points that have a similar nuance to your ghosts, so that you’re forced to examine the differences of each one. We will continue to think about this problem for sure, and try to come up with a good solution! :male_detective:

I think for cramming ghosts, it should add the grammar point of the ghosts instead of just the ghost sentence, this way you can get extra training for the grammar points you struggle with, but without the fear of simply memorizing the sentence in question. (I don’t know how the ghost / cram feature is set-up behind the scenes though, so maybe this is difficult to implement?)

But the groups you suggested would be an even more amazing option, if we would be able to be quizzed on “eerily” similar grammar (ghost pun) that would be the most amazing option of all time :stuck_out_tongue:
