It seems like it’s going to take a ton of time and practice to get the particles correct as well as the “in group” and “out group” concept correct. Any tips?

In my opinion, it’s reasonably doable to get a good feel for them with good old-fashioned practice. It may seem trite, but Bunpro’s cram feature is very good for this. Try adding all three grammar points, setting the number of questions to any number per grammar point, and enjoy having them coming at you in mixed order.
Also, 貰う and くれる are often interchangable and Bunpro will give uou helpful shake. Messages when it’s looking for the other.
