So I had the last example sentence of より~の方が in my reviews today and got hit by the mixup, as that sentence is the very first time I was confronted with のほうを instead of のほうが:
「漢字より、文法の方を勉強したい。」
This modification of the construct is not explained within the writeup, so it came to a surprise to me.
It makes sense thinking about it, as both 漢字 and 文法 serve as the object rather than the subject of the sentence. Just thought I’d share this small Issue. (Also I am not to sure how to best use the report feature).
