New People Questions! We’re all here to help<3

Welcome to the Bunpro Community!

I have noticed while looking through the archives that many short and easy questions gets no answers since they easily disappear among all the other posts. Instead of making 100 different threads, how about we just post our questions and help each other here?

Make sure to read
https://bunpro.jp/help
and the FAQ If you have any troubles, as they will explain a lot about the most basic parts of the system.

Still don’t see what you’re looking for? (Or too confused to search well or can’t even find the search?) Then post here!

I don’t use Genki, Tae Kim or any other textbook that’s in the readings. Can I use this page on its own?? :upside_down_face:

Welcome Lundolf
I would recommend to read this reply, but to keep it short: you can do Bunpro without Genki or Tae Kim, but you should probably be getting lessons from somewhere else. I have learned some grammar from the page itself, but not much. Personally I recommend https://www.tofugu.com/ or Cure Dolly on YouTube. Happy studying!

I used Bunpro to learn what I didn’t know of the N3 and N2 grammar without looking at any textbooks. For N3 I probably knew 75% of the grammar before starting while for N2 I knew about 25% at best. I passed N2 this December after three months of just Bunpro.

Is there a way to learn related grammar together? Like こ。そ。あ。ど sets for instance, or verb+の and のです, or けど and が (not the subject-identifying particle)

And is there a way to quiz these together?
