New Study Changes Explanations

There are a lot of new changes , which is great but I feel like some things are meant to be intuitive but aren’t.

For example on my Study page, I have a new breakdown and I am not 100% what each one means or is referring to.

Can someone just give me a rundown.

From left to right:

(Currently invisible) Ghost -> Shows up the review is a ghost review.
R 44 -> This is your review count, currently 44.
SRS 1 -> This is the SRS streak of your current quiz, 1. (This can be turned off in your settings)
100% -> Your percentage correct so far.
1/1 -> 1 correct out of 1 total.

The round shapes (Bunpro Hanko (stamp) and check mark) are just there to give some visual separation so it doesn’t look like R44 SRS1 100% 1/1.

Out of curiosity, what parts did you feel weren’t intuitive? Maybe there are some tweaks we can make to make things clearer.

Thanks for bringing the counter for correct items back! Looks good as well now. Only the Review count and the ghost are dropping one line when the correct answer counter reaches 10+

Suggestion: show the bunpro logo left to the SRS when it is a normal review. Show the ghost left to the SRS when it is a ghost review. That way you don’t need additional space for the ghost and users can distinguish easily which SRS is used (showing the bunpro streak logo for ghost reviews might be a bit confusing since they are using different SRS)

At first glance I know these numbers are important and I know they relate to my review, but when going through them I am not sure how they differentiate. the SRS streak I figured after digging (something to think about is somehow to direct someone to change logs when they come across a new change, a ‘new’ sticker that is hyper link or a banner that slides down from the top that can be dismissed could be useful). This area has changed 3 times in the last 4 weeks so when I load up there is an initial “what’s going on” shock.

but I have been hardpressed to find a breakdown.

As I understand it

Review count - How much you have total to review
SRS Streak - how many times you’ve gotten this particular grammar point correct
% - the percentage out of total correct… is that out of total from the amount available to review or total of done? (this feels redundant)
1/1 - this is how many correct out of the total amount I have done (similar to %)

When I think of intuitive suggestions I think changing the order in which the numbers appear would help. From specific to board, from left to right :

SRS Streak , Percentage, Correct amount, Total Review

aside of 2 of the numbers feeling they could be served as one this harkens back to Wani Kani

The number after “R” is the amount of reviews in the queue, it shows how many reviews are still to come. It is not the total amount of reviews. The total amount of done reviews is the number after the slash: “21/23” means 23 reviews done in total, 21 reviews answered correctly. So it makes sense to have both the review queue count “R” and the number of correct/total reviews. Wanikani and Kaniwani are lacking this useful information, so It’s really a pro for the Bunpro review screen
