Option to disable streak counter entirely

I’d appreciate a way to just disable the streak entirely, just sneak it into the options somewhere. Some sort of option to disable all the achievements related to the streak and the visual counter, and keep it on by default for the majority of people who get something out of it.

I’m a self motivated individual so the minor amount of extra encouragement it offers is massively offset by the annoyance and stress of missing a streak by a single day and having it reset back to zero, which feels like a failure state and actively demotivates me from continuing. Not only that but because it’s in the back of my mind, pressuring me to come on, I find that I keep my workload small and light so that I can come on to do the bare minimum to satisfy the streak counter each day, and then I move on to do more learning in less stressful apps (for me) like wanikani or satori reader. In other words, it only offers punishment without really encouraging any sort of reward or positive bonus out of me and is in fact actively detrimental. I could just ignore it, but it’s right there, on the front page, every time you log in, a big ‘days studied’ number immediately beside the failure number which, as soon as you miss one single day, will never be correct again. It’s like a mosquito that keeps buzzing by your head.

I can absolutely see the benefit for encouraging people to come on and do their work, but I’m of the personality type that’s more likely to come on and do the work if nobody tries to tell me to come on and do the work, and I’m sure there’s other people like me out there as well.

I do think it needs to be part of the official functionality, but if you need something now, you can use an ad blocker like uBlock origin to remove the entire element from view. I don’t even know how many significant digits my streak has at this point if I even have one.

Edit: The “Day Studied” was a very nice inclusion though, I like that. It reflects that progress isn’t subject to extreme amnesia.

I think it was in the works already but as @Humin said, you can just create a custom rule on ublock:

##.small-stats-tile.position-relative.stats-tile.mx-0.p-3

This is how it looks:
