Not sure I’ll be able to participate every day as this is just torture depending on the time of the day I do reviews! (For example, today I didn’t have lunch yet)

@matt_in_mito Ohh mate, how can you forget Soup Curry!!! ( スープカリー) hehe
When I lived in Sapporo, I used to have it 3/4 times a week haha.

I am really not into spicy food but somehow I got really addicted to this haha

It makes me wonder how spicy the foods featured in the drama Gekikaradou are. Some of them look convincingly spicy, but some made me doubt whether they’re anything close to Thai food’s spicy level.

At the end, please can you compile this all into one complete guide so that we can do the whole foodie trail once the borders eventually re-open to tourists?

Korean and Thai dishes can be a lot more spicy. At least that’s my impression for international people. It’s a bit difficult to compare spicy-ness between countries due to different ingredients / souses / etc…. (and I generally avoid spicy food yet I really like soup curry haha)

Probably there are very spicy Japanese dishes… (Didn’t the Anime Man (Joey) make a video about a very spicy ramen recently??…)

For the soup curry, I would normally go for level 2 to 4 out of 10…
It does give the food a very light “kick”…. Nothing major. No need to stop, no need for water. In the restaurant that I went to regularly, I could not feel anything on level 1 out of 10… very little on level 2. (The difference between level 1 and 2 was soo small, I thought I made a mistake while ordering haha )
