31309 (community total) + 29 (my reviews) = 31338

31372 (community total) + 37 (my reviews) = 31409
31409 (community total) + 20 (my reviews) = 31429
31429 + 40 = 31469
31 469 (community total)+ 10 (my reviews)= 31 479
31 479 (community total) + 13 (my reviews) = 31 492
31 492 (community total) + 25 (my reviews) = 31517
Haven’t heard that song in aaaaages but it’s still a banger.
31517 (community total) + 81 (yesterday’s reviews) = 31598
31,598 (community total) + 32 (today’s reviews) = 31,630
31.630 (community total) + 36 (my reviews) = 31.666
31666 (community total) + 20 (my reviews) = 31686
31686 (community total) + 24 (my reviews) = 31710
31710 + 188 = 31898
31898 (community total) + 89 (my reviews) = 31987
31 987 (community total)+ 31 (my reviews)= 32018
32018(community reviews) + 80(my reviews)= 32098
32098 (community reviews) + 32 (my reviews) = 32130
32_130 + 8 = 32_138
YES! We got our ticket to Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture!
Miyagi Prefecture
Ox Tongue 牛タン
This wonderfully tasty meat has many speciality shops, particularly in Sendai. It can be eaten in yakiniku restaurants as well as set menu restaurants. It is especially tasty when barbecued over charcoal, as that lovely charcoal taste comes out, and it must (not should!) be eaten with lemon juice and a little salt. My friend who owns a yakiniku restaurant will literally tell me off if I try to eat this with ordinary yakiniku sauce. When I get back home from Sendai, everyone’s first instinct is to ask me if I ate ox tongue, so this really is an absolute must!
Zunda Mochi ずんだ餅
This delicious sweet-savoury snack is a mochi rice cake with edamame topping. First, the edamame are boiled before being taken out of their pods and mashed with salt, sugar and water. The result is this refreshing snack that is famous in Miyagi Prefecture in the summer.
Sendai Ramen 仙台ラーメン
One of the many very famous ramens in Japan, Sendai ramen is famous for using spicy miso soup as its base. There are many different restaurants, and the spice varies depending upon the restaurant. Cup noodles are also sold, which are actually spicier than the ones that can be bought in most restaurants. It is generally, but not exclusively, eaten with flavoured egg (味付け玉子) and a kind of fermented bamboo shoot (メンマ), which Japanese people seem to love, but I really hate!
