Question about Deck Review Styles

I saw that there are default review styles you can set in your account settings, and then that every deck can overwrite them.

When looking at the N5 Vocab deck for example, I see 6 options in the dropdown. But there seems to be no option to just say “use the global default”.

Maybe that is something you can decide on when making the deck, like limiting the allowed review options, just allowing all, or not setting one in the first place, which then defaults to the global setting.

I guess what I’m saying is, it is a bit clunky, that I have to remember what combination I have set as the global default, when I go into a deck, instead of it just being an option in the dropdown. Like “Reading, Reveal (your default)”, or just a “Default” option in general.

From a UI perspective, Bunpro already has the information that I want to use, so not showing it to me, and having me remember it by myself feels weird.

And since seemingly all the decks (admittedly only 4) I have ever used, had their own preferred style, I don’t think the global setting has ever even done anything for me.

Not poo-poo’ing the whole idea, but it could be a bit more user friendly in my opinion. Just a thought.

You are able to change it in the settings in the drop-down on your profile.
Separately for grammar and vocab as well.

We’re actually planning on adding a “Use Global Default” option to the Review Type part of the Deck Settings popout.
It will fall through to use your chosen global default setting, unless you manually set it otherwise.

^Sounds like this would solve your issue?
