Are the review sentences randomized, or are they the same each time? Because I keep seeing the same ones, and I think that’s a bit of a crutch, because you can just get used to a certain sentence and be able to answer it correctly without having to think of the grammar itself.

Hey! 
You are probably seeing “ghost” reviews.
This functionality shows you sentences that you failed before more often, to reinforce your memory. 
Many users find it really great(after some time).
To turn it off:
Account -> Settings -> Ghost settings: off.
There is also minimal setting, that only adds an additional review to your review queue if you get the same sentence incorrect multiple times in a row.
