When I’m on vocab that I no longer want to be in my reviews, I use the “Remove from Reviews” button, and it says “removing” (or whatever it says), but then in a day or two, there it is again in my reviews. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Do you have wanikani sync on? If you do, my experience has been that it re-adds the vocab even after you remove it when it does the normal sync.
機(はた as it shows up on bunpro ) has been the bane of my existence for this very reason

If you remove a card, it doesn’t disappear from the review, and if you review it, it comes back. You need to remove the card and exit the review, or just skip it and then exit

I do have WK sync on, but this is a word I added that’s not in WK (or I guess I haven’t encountered it yet). I’ll try the exit/skip approach and hopefully that will work. I appreciate the answers!
It might be because it’s in one of your Decks that you’re Learn-ing.
You remove it from Reviews, and then just end up seeing it in your Learn queue maybe?
Semi-related, but we’re currently discussing a Skip feature that would allow you to never see it again.

I have the same issue. Currently I just open each vocab I want to remove in a new tab, finish my reviews, and then remove from reviews. Seems to properly get rid of them.
