Skipping items in pre-set decks

So going through the Genki 2 Grammer deck, and am getting stuck on basic Keigo. I have reached the next chapter and want to skip the Keigo Grammer points without going in and adding the points to my review manually. Is that possible to just kinda… Move them, until I’ve study the vocab portion of the Keigo Grammer and return to practicing them as Grammer?

I also don’t want them in my reviews because getting through just talking about other people fucked my up for two weeks and I’m still struggling with it.

You can do whatever you want. Just skip and manually add the points you want to learn.

As of yet, nope. Theres no way to skip items in a deck currently.

But what you can do, is copy the deck and remove those items or rearrange them to the end of the deck. And learn from that deck instead. Just be sure you’re opted into beta through account settings to mess with decks. This is the button to copy a deck, once in the deck

As @lunchbox1 says, you can manually add the points you want to learn.

To show how to do this, you can click on any grammar point you want to learn and see info about that grammar point.

You can also click on the 3 dots (…) on the right of each grammar point (circled in red below) and then click “Add to Reviews” for that grammar point.

You can do this on your chosen deck, e.g. by clicking here:

As for this part, you can do what bunny says for the 3dots menu and either reset those grammar points or just take them outta reviews. Remove keeps your progress, reset is like you’ve never seen them ever

Yeah, I skimmed. My bad. Adding points manually isn’t bad though!

Yeah, me too  Personally, I prefer adding points manually because you have control over what you learn and when. It doesn’t seem like a hassle at all for me, whereas using “Learn” feels a bit arbitrary to me as you never know what’s coming next and if it’s what you want to be studying. Anyway, I hope OP can keep making progress with the deck in a way that suits :+1:

Thanks y’all. I just struggle with navigating the site sometimes on account of being big dumb. And it seems like a hassle to have to go in every day to add reviews. And while I only add two new a day, I just don’t wanna lol. I’ll follow the deck in a somewhat logical order.

And speaking of following the deck, a lot of other peoples that teach online or podcasts follow the Genki Deck. So in terms of learning a point, and then practicing it, and listening for it, I have a whole-ass system.

tl;dr Read via Genki, Read via bunpro, do bunpro, switch over to someone who put Genki questions on GitHub to practice the Genki questions, then shadowing practice via a podcast that also follows Genki.

I am what people refer to as an optimized studier or something around here lol.
