Small Win: Cleared N5 Practice Test

I want to share a small win today with everyone since I am on this journey solo. I tried the N5 practice test that Bunpro released and I cleared it!
I was doing it at 1am because I could not fall asleep and I wanted some validation for all the work I had been putting in. I was fully prepared to not clear it and try it again later but was pleasantly surprised. I feel so proud of myself because my effort has translated into results (?)
I have a long way to go before I consider all course of N5 done though. I haven’t finished all the vocabulary and I certainly need more practice for grammar so I am going to keep at it and aim for a better score.

Sounds more like a big win to me! You reached a measurable milestone through hard work. Not something that just happens overnight. I hope that good feeling motivates you to keep going.

What’s your favourite seaweed?

Thank you for your wishes!

@BreadmanNin seaweed meets breadman haha. I think I am more of a classic nori sheet. What about your favourite bread?
It does motivate me to keep going. I don’t know why I completely discredited the fact that I had to put work in to reach this level. Reading your comment reminded me that I have worked for it so thank you so so much for your comment :relaxed:

Nori is great.

For a while now, I’ve been on a white sourdough bread high.

Don’t sell yourself short. N5 and N4 are the foundation of everything else. It means you’ve gone from knowing nothing to something.

I found it extremely rewarding when I passed N5, as it was proof to me that I CAN learn a second language

Nothing but supportive comments! It never ceases to amaze me how friendly everyone is here. We really have the best users!

As everyone has already said, definitely do not sell yourself short! When you first start learning Japanese, everything feels so intimidating, and getting to the end of N5 takes a lot of work and dedication!
