So, is the “meat” of the grammar really in N5/N4?

For manga, just go to Bookwalker,jp / Booklive,jp. I prefer Bookwalker (as I have English manga / light novels too) but both are good. There is also eBookJapan.
Considering 99% of the stuff there have free samples and its possible to read some manga volumes for free, you can basically already try to read whatever you want and see how things go.

For anime with Japanese subs - Netflix? There used to be Animelon ( which was great, not exactly legal but still…)
For Jdrama - Viki . They have Japanese subs on some of the Jdramas which is great.

P.S This is so soo out of topic

thanks for the recommendations!

yes I have found animelon and flying witch is there, which is recommended for starting manga just like yotsubato.

I will start with it one episode per day to increase my reading speed because so far it is bad (my bar is trying to read subtitles when people speak in annnews in youtube and I barely can read, so fast!)

How did it feel to know 6000+ words while sitting at n5/n4 grammar?
