Just did my first lesson for today and my streak counter now looks like this:
Didn’t know that was a thing. What a pleasant surprise!
Now it’s important to not let that flame die, I guess. So back to studying! 
(Just have to be cautious to not fly into that warm light

Are there further thresholds and changing emojis next to the number?
The change is actually just to indicate you did something to preserve it for the day. I do like the idea of different icons depending on how high your streak is

The color depends on the color theme you chose.
I’m very grateful for this change. I won’t need to use my excel file that had a cell dedicated to displaying expected streak anymore

Just wondering, could we change “Streak” to “Steak”, and keep the flame cooking under it?

Great feature, I love it.
But then some might not want to keep the flame for too long to prevent the steak from becoming a shoe sole
Just noticed this after my lessons for today. I sometimes get sidetracked and forget to study in the morning like usual, so this will be a very useful tool for keeping my streak alive!

I find the design doesn’t fit at all and it just looks really bad. 
Clearly I’m in the minority though.
I don’t do reviews on weekends, so receiving an emoji for a pitiful 5 days makes me feel like an imposter.
Though maybe that’s just trauma from all the threats the duolingo owl used to send me if I broke my streak. 
I noticed a bug with this new feature. If you leave BunPro open in your browser all the time, when you return to the page it automatically refreshes itself with the latest reviews and stats. However, it does not remove the flame unless you refresh the page. @Jake
Thanks for the report. Do you you mean if you leave the tab open overnight and access it in the morning?
Essentially yes.
I leave BunPro open 24/7 and study at approximately the same time every day, so today when I openned it (after approximate 24 hours) the flame did not get cleared out. Once I refreshed the tab manually it was removed.
All these months I thought that to preserve the study streak I had to learn at least one new item every day…
I thought I needed to clear my learn queue lol
