Subscription in euros?

Hey there

I’m nearing the end of my first monthly subscription and considering what other options Bunpro offers (one year and lifetime). By browsing the forums a bit I quickly discovered that there will be lifetime sales soon, meaning it would probably be better to wait a bit before picking this one.

One thing that puzzles me however, all those yearly sales topics presented the lifetime subscription price as 150$ (usually lowered to 120$). 150$ is roughly 130€, so that’s what I would expect the price to be on my end. I’m a bit surprised to see it priced at 225€ instead. Has there been a huge pricing increase for Bunpro this year compared to what used to be ? Or are European subscriptions just that much more expensive ? (And if so, why ?)

When I bought the subscription last year, the euro price matched the dollar price. Are you trying to buy via app? Those sometimes add have a hefty fee. If that’s the case, try paying via the website

I’m mainly using the app yeah, never would have thought of that but it does seem to be the issue ! The app is a bit greedy when applying those conversions fees haha.

Thanks a lot for shedding light on this ! I’ll probably stick to a monthly plan while waiting for the November lifetime sale, now that I’m sure I’ll be able to get it for a reasonable price :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

My guess for why this would be is that purchases made through the Apple app store (and presumably the google one too, but I can’t speak for that) get a large chunk taken out by the app store.

Perhaps bunpro is shifting that cost onto users who subscribe via the app?

That’s correct, Apple and Google take huge percentages from any purchase made through apps. Furthermore, apps are contractually not allowed to direct customers to cheaper prices on their own websites for those purchases. It sucks but it’s one of the things you have to agree to if you want your app on their stores.

Just like others said!
The app has both local tax and apple/play store fee that is why it is more expensive.
In general, it is cheaper when buying using the website!

Just to make sure, subscription bought in the app will work on the website, and the one bought on the website will work in the app too.

Cheers :bowing_man:
