Synced Wanikani Vocab a second time, now I have 1000+ reviews

Hello! When I first started using Bunpro I synced my WaniKani account, and now that I’ve progressed further in WaniKani I wondered if I needed to sync again for the update furigana feature. I now realise that I didn’t need to do that, but after syncing I now have ~1100 vocab reviews for reasons I don’t completely understand.

I’ve never done any vocab using Bunpro and I don’t really ever intend to. In “My decks” the only deck I have enabled is the N2 one, and none of the vocabulary decks.

How can I get rid of all of these new vocab reviews and only see my Grammar reviews, without having to manually reset progress on ~1100 items?

Ah! I turned on the option for “Master all Wanikani vocab” and synced again, and now the reviews are all gone. I also gained an unbelievably huge amount of XP which feels a little odd but I’m happy! Hope this helps anyone else that makes the same mistake I did!

I’ve been trying to do it on purpose for weeks, but I can’t find the option.
Where is it!? Where did you find it?

If you go to your Settings page, then General, then click Update Settings under the Wanikani section (see below)

It will bring up the panel below, and you can flip the ‘Mark as Mastered’ setting on, then click ‘Import once now’ to set all the WaniKani vocab to mastered.

At least, that’s what worked for me!
