Temperamental furigana

My furigana is set to On, and Hover to Off. I want to see furigana all the time since I don’t know many kanji/vocab yet. But sometimes even some very complex kanji do NOT show furigana, while simpler ones do in the same sentence!

Any suggestions for how to get them to always appear?

Hey there @trig!

Quick question, could I get a look at your full Content Display settings?
And sometimes the settings take a little bit to fully apply.

Could you try refreshing and seeing if the problem persists?

I am on a different computer at my workplace and the problem is there, too. These settings were configured a few days ago.

Here is the full content display settings. (I replaced the real Wanikani key with this fake one. By the way, do you know how I can clear that box/unlink Wanikani?)

I’ve honestly had some success in the past by changing the settings and then changing them back. For some reason, sometimes they just don’t load. Hope this helps!

That did not help here.
It’s a more annoying problem when the missing furigana is on the word I have to conjugate. I’m not sure how to “spell” it, so I have to click it with my mouse before I can begin typing an answer:

Hey! Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I was able to pinpoint the issue.

We allow you to mark kanji as known by clicking on them.
With the new vocab implementation, as soon as we add all 20k or so words we have planned, we will switch the current implementation of marking kanji known over to the vocab, setting up an automatic system where as you study the vocab and get to a certain SRS level, it will start hiding the furigana.

For now, I removed the kanji you had marked as known. We also store that info in a cookie so you will either need to remove that cookie or simply wait for it to expire in 24-48 hours.

Thanks! I cleared my cookies and it seems like they’re all there so far. I must have been accidentally clicking them sometimes, or tapping them on my phone.
