TIL the Related/Synonyms sections include explanations and comparisons

I’ve been using Bunpro for a little over a year, purely for grammar study. Started with the N5 grammar deck and I’m now around 85-90% of the N2 deck. Perhaps because I was already familiar with N5 and N4 grammar, which I blazed through, I never looked as carefully as I should have.

Anyway, I was trying to understand the difference between というふうに and ふうに. So, as I was reading each one, I paid slightly more attention to the Related and Synonyms sections and, to my dismay, I realized the text on those cards was not an excerpt of the mentioned grammar point, which I had always assumed, like a quick shortcut. No, all the cards had an explanation on how 2 or more grammar points compare.

In fact, the lack of this kind of crucial information had always frustrated me about Bunpro. Up to this point I had used the hints, the Comments section below each grammar point, Google and YouTube to disambiguate similar grammar points. Even going through this effort, my brain suffers from a grammar mush in several areas. Everytime I could, I sent this kind of feedback, so much that I couldn’t wait for the new Topics feature to cover more advanced grammar and explain the differences in more detail.

Well, apparently the answer was much simpler. Now I just have to and review and try to map 800+ grammar points.

In case I’m not alone in never noticing this, hope this helps you.
