残っていかれませんか?

せっかくですから― 最後さいごまでのこっていかれませんか

In this sentence what exactly is happening with the いかれませんか?

I asked my wife and she said if feels like 尊敬語そんけいご of される but she was not sure because it was a little weird.

Hopefully I am just missing something obvious.

行かれる is another way to say 行く in 尊敬語, besides the いらっしゃる (and technically お行きになる and おいでになる, I guess) taught here on Bunpro. See e.g. here for an overview of the four. Talking with a Japanese friend about this, they said いらっしゃる usually feels like the honorific 来る or いる so 行かれる is actually the better choice if you’re not at the location the other is going to, but that probably depends on who you ask.🤷

In cases that still leaves you confused about the somewhat contradictory looking 残っていく, this is the “and then” kind of て-form so I’d assume the speaker knows the other has to go, but they ask them to only go after staying 'till the end of the event they are at.

That actually helps a lot!

This made it click for me, I kept interpreting it like it was more of a 敬語 for 残りに行, or something like that, and it was throwing me off because that does not make any sense.

So the transliteration something akin to:
Wouldn’t you remain until the finale before you must depart.

The original more natural translation was:
“Why not stay until the end?”

Thank you so much for your insight!
