~かける

As the suffix part of a compound verb has come up quite a bit in the book I’m currently studying in a reading class. For the ‘to be partway doing’ meaning. (Including a quite long explanation on wilting flowers)

A little surprised not to see it on BP - there are other compound suffix constructions… Just wondering if it’s a little rare or…

There’s this かけ grammar point. It’s without the る, but the form is mentioned too.
