Idk if I have adhd or whatever but for me it’s basically impossible to create like even the smallest habit for now. Even something like “adding 3 kanji that I sometime mistake for other every day” which takes a very small amount of time, I slowly started failing after 3 weeks and stoped after 5 weeks. It just starts feeling more like something that bothers me more and more.
So after like one and a half years of learning Japanese I came up with a method where I just write a plan for a week, like “read X amount everyday and mine words that I know but have problems reading, and then review them focusing on readings and other words with same kanji” and after the week I just switch to something else like “Watch anime while mining words that are completely foreign to me until I reach 300 words, then use fill in type cards for those words to get a good grasp of kanji” and then next week I find something new, I might follow with “manually select 900 words with kanji from the last week and learn” or maybe again "read a book until mined 500 words that have similarities with 300 words form the last week (same kanji, similar kanji, similar sound, etc), and then you might watch to go to Bunpro and get some quality grammar from old reviews, until you are again tired from that format.
So instead of locking in with one structure, you are trying to find what is the best at the moment, so you can stay motivated, focused, and feel progress in real-time.
Idunno, just felt like sharing today.
