Is there anyway to do this for vocab? I’d like to do reviews for just the kanji (like a traditional anki card), but I’d also like to be able to do the reviews where your given a sentence and then told the word in english and have to translate it to Japanese. Both types of reviews really helped me and I find just doing one and not the other really impacts my memory.
We have Alternating Review Types (at each different SRS level you can manually set what Review Type you want) in the works, which would somewhat help your situation.
But as for multiple Reviews for single items, we unfortunately haven’t got plans for this ATM!
Your post acts as a +1 for the feature request tho.
We’ve had it in the past from other users too,
@veritas_nz is this feature already available? I can’t find it in settings. I’m also looking for a way to have both fill in and translate reviews for the vocab at the same time (or alternating as with the feature you mentioned).
That’d be amazing. It’s the only reason I use Anki at this point.
Bunpro is amazing for production, but being able to read the Kanji is important too. Being able to have separate progress on both would greatly improve Vocab memorization.
Sorry I seriously buggered up my wording by the looks of it.
Should have been:

Gonna bump this again in my head mentally.
We have designs for it that are in the finalization process. Just need to implement (easier said than done).
I don’t know if this is too much work for you, but you could learn in one mode and cram in another.
The only problem is it gets a bit tedious if you want to cram all your learned items and it’s not as consistent as your normal SRS queue since it’s a one-off type deal.
That’s a good idea!
@veritas_nz any chance you can add “Cram all reviewed items” button to the review summary screen in addition to the existing “Cram missed items” as a stopgap solution?
