I started the vacation mode on the 17th and I turned it off recently. When I turned it on I had around 200-250 reviews but when I turned it off I had 600+. Is there a way to fix this? I tried messaging Jake but I can’t message people on the mobile forum page apparently
I think your only option is to wait for response, or just do the reviews. Fortunately for you, 600 isn’t actually that bad!
Hi, if you like, I can move all your reviews forward the same amount of time you were on vacation
Please do so!
I’ve updated them all
I’ve actually had the same problem twice now. The first time, I thought maybe I hadn’t properly set it, but this time, I triple checked that the main page stated that I was in vacation mode before closing the browser. However, when I came in today, vacation mode had turned itself off at some point.
(I don’t need a reset or anything, but I wanted to add my experience to the conversation about this bug.)
I have also had some minor issues with the vacation mode.
If the settings page was opened for a while before I clicked “Vacation mode”, it refreshes without taking the change into account (since the session token changed, I guess).
It also seems best to wait a few seconds after clicking, and to double check on the homepage if the vacation mode is correctly enabled.
Wasn’t too happy to see 1000 reviews after logging in, but at least it allowed me to do some cleaning in my review queue.
yeah, i just got off vacation mode (wanted a weekend off) and it turned off vacation mode on me as well. I even refreshed the page and returned 15 minutes later, still on vacation mode.
Came back today and boom 110 reviews waiting and vacation mode disabled.
I use the website and just tested this since I’m about to go on vacation. I set it to vacation mode, then on the homepage I saw ‘you’re in vacation mode’.
Went back to the settings and the vacation mode was turned off in the settings.
I also noticed that the on/off switch doesn’t toggle to On when turning on vacation mode.
Edit - after making this screenshot and posting this, I went back to the tab in my browser where I had these settings open and the ‘currently in vacation mode’ text had disappeared, without me changing anything. Something is broken here.
I keep having this problem too (I only use the website). In my case, I made sure that the toggle on/off was switched to “on” (I’ve had issues where it wouldn’t switch before). When I came to check the settings this morning it said that vacation mode was still “on”. I turned it off and the second I went back to the main page I see 100+ reviews that weren’t there when I turned vacation mode “on” on Friday.
For me it happened on the website (Windows PC, happened with different chromium based browsers).
I normally use chrome with a vpn.
One thing of note is I did use my iphone to search some grammar via the app while in vacation mode. Maybe that could have disabled it somehow?
Just here to add that I have also experienced this, I primarily use bunpro’s beta app on android so that’s probably where I’ve always set it from.
Honestly it’s bad enough that I’m considering not putting it in vacation mode and just doing a few of the reviews when I’m busy to keep the steak since I’ll just come back to hundreds of reviews anyway pls fix devs
Oh, apologies. I only use the website.
@eldigoblo @SmolSwol @Martii did you use the site at all while in vacation mode? I’m trying to work out if there’s anything that could cause the vacation mode to disable itself
I can’t remember if I used the website when I had issues. There are times when I do use it though.
I should also mention that vacation mode works most of the time for me, issues only happened 2 or 3 times I think.
I did not use the site during vacation mode. I went to the settings page and set vacation mode, then checked the dashboard to ensure that it showed that I was in vacation mode, and then I closed the browser and didn’t access Bunpro again until a few days later.
I don’t think so, because typically if I go on vacation mode it’s because I’m literally too busy, rather than actually on a vacation of some sort .
