Ive added the vocabulary 一概に to my reviews, but the example sentences shown on the info page aren
t turning up in the reviews. So far it`s just asking for the meaning. How come?
Did you add it from a deck? Go to vocab deck settings and scroll all the way down. You’ll have the option of adjusting how it prompts you for the entire deck like here
Or, you can go to the individual vocabs info page and go to the sidebar to adjust the prompt for only that word like here

^What IcyIceBear said (thanks IcyIceBear)
There is also the chance that the sentences you’re seeing don’t have actual questions associated to them yet, especially if they’re N2/N1/A-level Vocab.
Example sentences and the questions associated with them are created separately!
Thanks for the replies!
It turns out to be the reason veritas_nz stated (no questions yet).
But I didn`t realise you could change review types like that on the sidebar until now so thank you IcyIceBear!
Hello,
I have many questtions:
Why can’t I review some cards using reading review type ? Despite the card having example sentences.
It happens for some cards that do include sentences, and for all the cards wihout sentences that I add sentences to.
The cards that don’t have sentences and that I add sentences toshow up as cloze type during review .
I updated general settings for vocab to select the desired review type but the same issue occurs. When I try to change individual cards, the review types are greyed out (except cloze) as you can see in the screenshot)
Thank you for your help.
Hi there and welcome to the forums!
Some Vocab (the higher level ones – the Vocab you’ve screenshotted is A1-level) has sentences that are not set up to use Fill-in/Reading mode yet (also called ‘cloze’ style).
So it may seem like a bug, but we’re just in the middle of converting those sentences so that they are Cloze-compatible.
As for custom user sentences, there is currently only support for Fill-in + Manual Input mode.
No Reading mode support as of yet.
Hope that helps!
Let me know if you have any other questions.
