keep getting tripped up in my N4 reviews at the moment between すこしも。。ない and あまり-ない
Any tips, help and advice welcome

すこしも would usually be a far lower amount than あまり.
すこしも～ない ‘not even a little bit’ (literal translation)
あまり～ない ‘not excessively’ (literal translation)
Very often, either one could be correct. However, if you are trying to figure out which one could go in the blank, try to think if it is ‘not at all’, or just ‘not much’. That should be the biggest indicator. If either of those answers could fit, then even if you get it wrong, you’re still technically right.
