I am making this topic because I cannot find anything relating to the API token’s specific requirements.
I currently have my token on read-only. The supposed function of adding your token to your profile - the automatic disabling of furigana for Kanji you should know from your WaniKani level - does not seem to work.
Am I missing something? Are there any uses of the token I am unaware of?
@AdalwinAmillion Hey! Are you selecting Wanikani from the Furigana dropdown menu in your Settings, entering the Version 2 API key, and clicking Save down at the bottom of the Settings page? You might need to refresh the page after you save the changes. Also, double-check to make sure that you did not paste in any spaces when you copied the API token from Wanikani. If you are still seeing furigana appear for Kanji that you should not, please let us know. Cheers!
P.S. - If done correctly, Bunpro should hide furigana for kanji at SRS level 5 (guru) or above.
