Was there an update to decks?

Rather than doing all of my reviews at once I like to go to the decks page and then separate my reviews per deck since doing them in smaller batches feels easier than doing them all in one go. But today when going to the decks page it no longer tells me how many are due per deck. Was there an update?

Hmmm. You might be onto something. I have 12 reviews due and I know they’re all vocab, but I’m not seeing the little brackets in the bottom right. I’m also weirdly seeing an icon of three people with the number “2” next to it? Maybe that was there before but I didn’t notice it. I’m 100% sure it was working earlier today as I showed someone how to use it.

I noticed the same thing today! I literally just did two of my decks this morning and now the buttons are gone? Hoping it’s a bug because I feel a lot more motivated when separating my reviews by deck.

Just wondering @jaykthx do you also happen to have a little emoji of three people standing together and a number next to it? Trying to figure out if this is also new or something there previously…

I saw that emoji with a 2 next to it on the N5 deck, but I haven’t even started that deck so I’ve got no clue what it’s supposed to mean :frowning:

yes, the review button has vanished, but if you click on a deck you can do it, I hope they fix this soon

@jaykthx I checked some more and now it looks like my N5 grammar and N5 vocab both have this mystery crowd emoji and numbers are increasing?? One is at 4 the other at 5. What’s happening.

edit: omg it’s definitely spreading to more decks. Something is afoot.

I have a hypothesis: maybe it’s the amount of concerns I’ve opened at ticket for on a given deck…? nevermind… the numbers are getting really big. Maybe the number of people who’ve completed a certain deck?

Yes, we did push a change. The particular change with the review button was a necessary downgrade as we pinpointed that query as being the one that caused the decks page to have slow load times.

This change had a noticeable possible impact on the load times and was a necessary change as we anticipate there being a lot of new decks in the very near future (which the crowd icon is related to :eyes: )

Nuuuu. Not the review button! In all good faith though, thanking for your future decks and I hope you find a way re-implement the Review button! It seems to be quite popular. Excited for the new decks! And of course, an explanation on this mysterious crowd icon.
