Hi everyone,
I am a native Japanese speaker running a small app studio in Japan, and I am thinking about whether to build something for people learning Japanese. Nothing exists yet, I am not selling anything, and there are no links in this post.
Before building anything, I would like to understand one thing better: breaks.
Life gets in the way (work, illness, kids, moving) and studying stops for a while. I would love to hear what it is actually like for you:
- The last time your studying stopped for a while, what happened just before?
- When you came back, what was the first thing you saw or did? (reset, worked through a pile of reviews, switched to something elseā¦)
- What was the hardest part of coming back?
Short answers are totally fine. And in return, if you have any questions about natural Japanese (nuance, politeness, how something actually sounds to a native speaker), feel free to ask here and I will do my best to answer.
Thank you for reading!
