What does (*) mean in lessons?

Hello,

The と quotation lesson has (*) after each mark, but this isn’t referenced otherwise in the legend or anywhere else in the page.
I was looking for a note/precision at the bottom of the page, but there is nothing.
What’s up?

That looks like a typo. (Maybe it was a placeholder for a footnote?)

I’m pretty sure they forgot to add this as a footnote:

  • we have no idea what * is

Usually when they’ve got one of those (or a number) it’s because they’ve put only one of multiple options that can go there and they list the rest at the bottom, either that or a usage note. In this case it’s the latter and they probably woulda made a note of what kind of verb can go there but then forgot to

Thanks for pointing this out guys. Yep, the * means that there are alternatives to whatever it appears next to, and then the list of alternatives usually appears at the bottom. @mrnoone has the answers to these, so I will let him take a look.

The alternatives should appear in the right spot soon!

All fixed :+1:

The text was in a wrong field and was invisible to the users :bowing_man:

Cheers!
