This may be obvious to a lot of people. I didn’t understand why some had a よ inserted, and couldn’t see from the readings, admittedly only looked briefly. Anyway I found a good explanation at Renshuu. It is the Volitional form of the verb plus と思う. The Volitional is よう for ru-verbs. Special cases for the irregular verbs suru and kuru. The rest are mou, sou etc.

Hope you don’t mind a Renshuu link, I guess it could be seen as a competitor. I used to use it for vocab, never really used it for grammar, just found this off an internet search for this grammar point.
