Why does "Bunpro N5 [Grammar]" keep getting added to my queue?

Hi folks, new to Bunpro!

Not sure if I’m just not using this site as intended, but I’ve been trying to use only the “Genki I 3rd Edition [Grammar]” deck to reinforce grammar I’m learning from Genki. Every time I complete my learnings + review for the new learnings, I get a prompt asking me to continue with “Bunpro N5 [Grammar]”. I reject the prompt, but then see the deck has been added to my learn queue. When I remove the deck from my learn queue, it’s back the next day after I finish my Genki review.

Am I misunderstanding how to use the site? Should I always be reviewing “Bunpro N5 [Grammar]”? Thanks!

I believe it’s automatically in the stack when you make a new account, you can remove it in the settings. The option was easy for me to find on mobile but I can’t seem to locate it on my desktop…

Maybe it is still in your learing queue?

Go to “Decks”, then you should already be in the folder “learning”. If “Bunpro N5 Grammar” is still there, then that’s the problem. You need to left-click on it so that you see more details of it. Then click on “Deck Settings”, where you need to unactivate the “actively Studying” button.

If that’s not the problem then idk, sorry.

Welcome all new forum users

Yes indeed the N5 Deck was added to your Learn Queue automatically during the signup process.

You’ll need to remove it from your Learn Queue in order to stop seeing it during the Learn flow, as the other users have mentioned.

We’re currently working on a new signup process that will allow you to start with any of the Decks (not just by JLPT level) straight from the beginning, so we apologise for the confusion with the current system.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

@gatame What was your experience with this if you don’t mind me asking?
What made the one on mobile easier to find?
They should both be in relatively the same place (inside the Learn Queue menus, at the bottom of a Deck’s individual menu), so I’m interested to know what led to the possible confusion.
Any feedback might help us make a fix to make this easier for other users in the future
