The 「を通して/を通じて」 grammar point says 「 事故にあった際には弁護士を通じて相手に連絡をするようにしてください。」 is a wrong example: “If you are involved in an accident, you should contact the other party through your attorney. (Unnatural Japanese)”
Yet this came up as a review in a cram session. and the ‘correct’ answer 「を通して」 was not acccepted, only this one.
To me it’s not good to ask the user to input something that you teach is wrong; if anything only を通して should be accepted here. This grammar point is confusing enough as it is and having to type something that’s wrong seems completely counter intuitive to properly understanding it.
