アレX アレY

Sorry if this isn’t the right place to put this, but thanks to my discovery of GameSentenceMiner, Ive found a not completely unbearable way of immersing in Japanese, and I’ve had a few visual novels rotting away thanks to my inability to properly set up a text hooker, I’ve started reading Never7, for no particular reason other than it seems easy enough, however I just ran into something I’m not even sure how to look for an explanation for, and I was hoping someone here could maybe assist me with it. Here’s a screenshot of the log, this is from very early in the game, where the protag is describing a popular/rich student from his university that gets a lot of rumors spread about him.

I pretty much get everything until that weird string of katakana ‘アレ’. (I’m just providing the before stuff so there’s enough context leading up to it). I’m assuming this like, is just vaguely referencing how rumors are structured or whatever, but I’m just very lost as to how to process that sentence. Here’s the raw text

2年前にアレやってアレしてるとこをアレされたけどアレ贈ってアレしたらアレだった

Like, isnt this アレやってアレしてる just two ways of saying ‘doing thing’? Is this like, a set phrase kind of thing? Or am I just letting something not very important to know really throw me off?

Any guidance on how to grok what’s going on here would be greatly appreciated!

Omg, this is the definition of a scrambled sentences hahaha. All these アレ does not seems to point to one thing but rather, a lot of different good and bad things.

2年前にアレやってアレしてる - this two あれ (A and B) are what the person was doing something at that 2 years before

とこを - this is speech form of ところを, which means “when, while”

アレされたけど - but then sth (C) was being done/happened to the speaker

アレ贈ってアレしたら - if the speaker sent sth (D) and then do other thing (E)

アレだった - the result (F - probaly good) of the above if clauses.

So the whole sentences can be roughly : “while I was doing A and B 2 years ago, however, C was done to me, if I had sent D and done E, the result would have been F.”

This is my take on the sentence, anyone can give some recommends is 大歓迎.

This is a very fun sentences haha.

Even in the context does not convey much of what A to F could be… But this sentences seems to have a bit of regrets in it.

I’m not sure if this is right, but it’s giving “They did this, then they did that, and then this happened…” etc, etc. I’d assume it’s just a very common rumor going around that always has changing info
