N2 Lesson 10
のも当然だ
English
[may well・have/has a good reason for]
Structure
Verb + のも当然だ / のは当然だ
いAdj + のも当然だ / のは当然だ
なAdj + な + のも当然だ / のは当然だ
Noun + も当然だ / は当然だ
のも当然だ・のももっともだ
I’ve been getting the structure wrong for both of these grammar points. Mainly because I keep forgetting whether I need の or は in the front. I mistake は as the one that must be in the front rather than の, when really it could be replaced with も。
I think the problem stems from the fact that I don’t really understand why these grammar points are structured like this. What is the の and the は・も doing? Is the の an explanatory の?I get the は but is も showing that something is “also” natural? I’m not sure why it is interchangeable like this.
Can anyone explain? : )
