I’m especially tired today, but in general this is where my Japanese is, stumbling around the intermediate plateau, wondering if its even possible to escape this place without being able to live in Japan. Why did I start this journey? I might just lie down here and let the sand cover me.

Here’s how I did it. I uh, had to learn and reset all the grammar points and uh, the app thinks I was learning them. So uh, I guess I’m officially 上手 guys.

On a serious note, is it better to learn all your grammar in reading mode first then reset them?
I am only going trhough N5 but started doing them in fill mode directly (as I don’t understand most sentence vocab yet).

In my experience, it’s felt a lot less intense to do it like that. I think you get a better grasp on the nuances and synonyms, and then writing them feels a lot more familiar. Also you’ll be familiar with the context/vocab so it doesn’t feel like you’re trying to learn so many things at once.
I would suggest something like: Get all grammar points of a given N level up to Expert, then reset and do the writing mode.

Might be worth trying!
I have some grammar point that I just can’t correctly place.
Especialy da/kara and na/node plus all the past tense with -tta then all the ending affirmation such as yo, ne and no.
I also recently learned that having both cards of a deck in jap => eng then the eng=>jap (as it’s setup by default onSatori reader )was not the best and to only focus on the first one as translating it will come with a lot of immersion.

When bunpro srs now runs a parallel IQ-elo system, and loosing points makes the characters bigger, the spaces of them wider, and the voice-recordings slower. Also, at a certain point, the color-blind- system enables automatically, you start to get autogenerated basic tips like how to start a review session with a index finger emoji popping up to point at the review button, and a 30 minutes interval reminder message to take a break after a while.

4th N5 mock test spoilers here
So I’ve been watching how my friend was doing N5 mock test, and this question has come up:
彼氏と彼女が話しています。彼女はどの部屋に住んでいますか。
彼氏：「アパートの前に着いたよ！」
彼女：「部屋がどこか覚えている？」
彼氏：「えっと…エレベーターから遠い部屋だよね？」
彼女：「そうそう。でも、エレベーターには乗らないよ。」

So I understood that the correct answer is 2, but I was curious, about the culture referenced here, to when the girl says 「そうそう。でも、エレベーターには乗らないよ。」Because it would seem strange to not use the elivator to go to the fifth flor, right?
So we just decided to ask Gemini, and pasted the transcript, asking “what do you think?”. On what it replied “Oh well, she says he don’t have to use the elivator, therefore the answer is that she lives on the first flor!”.
“Oh, we did not upload the image” I went, and we uploaded it.
On which, Gemini, with it’s most exquisiteness, without saying a single word replied with this:

pretty much. the words that were present in duolingo and constantly hammered are pretty easy to remember, but then the other end of n5 deck comes along and i cant remember them for shit
