A little bit of a shorter one today, but I think the lack of context might trip a few people up in the beginning! So for extra context, this book is about a family of wolves! It is called 白い牙.
Could you also post the correct transcription? I think the lack of context for these snippets makes it quite difficult to reliably get some words. I mean, just in that snippet alone, going by most answers, a steam train seems to arrive at two in the morning and for some reason the sun rises in the middle of the night. I guess the story could be set in the 19/20th century somewhere closer to the poles in the summer?

Out of 5 (wolves?), only one of them was gray. The siblings were the same (???) as their mother (I think its the fur color?) but, only one of them inherited their father’s gray fur color.
五匹の子狼のうち、一匹だけが灰色だった。
兄弟たちは母親と同じ赤みがかった毛色をしていたが、
一匹だけ父親の灰色の毛色を受け継いでいた。

Again a little bit of a short one, but from a very famous story, so I think a lot of people will be able to get this one even with not too much extra context! Today’s entry is from ロビン・フッド物語.
私は（嘘をいう？）ものには（罰？）を与えます。ですから（罰？）として、このお金は皆いただき、仲間に分け与えます。あなたはこれ（まで？）にたくさん悪いことをしましたから。
I will (punish?) (liars?). As (punishment?), I will share this money with everyone. Up until now you have done a lot of bad things.

7th of July-
Another relatively short one, but the speed of speech is a little bit quicker here, so might be a little bit tricky! This track is from 若草物語 (Little Women).
そこへハンナが暑いパイを二つ持って来てくれました。
メグとジョーの仕事先は遠く夕方まで帰れません。 (This sounds like kaeremasen to me but wouldn’t be surprised if it should just be kaerimasen. Edit: I just realized why it would be kaeremasen in this context, was just randomly thinking about it.)
暑いパイはお弁当であり、寒い道を歩きながら手を温める為の物でもありました。
This is a cool thing, thanks for doing it. I also didn’t see anyone point out while skimming the thread that some number of these books are available on US audible, at least the invisible man one is. I checked because I was very surprised when I found the Ascendance of a Bookworm audiobooks on US Audible(in Japanese).
Oh that’s a good point! I didn’t even think of that despite the reverse being true for English books here in Japan (sometimes). The amount of fantastic content available as audiobooks is huge in Japan!

Good little bit of dialogue today from the Japanese version of Frankenstein! フランケンシュタイン. I wonder how much work goes into recording audiobooks like this… Must be a lot of effort!

Hearing my father’s words, I pondered with a dark (gloomy?) feeling. Then, with Ernesto (???), Elizabeth arrived.
Her eyes were bright red with tears.

Haven’t focused much on listening practice until now, so this feels like a fun way to get started! Never watched or read Frankenstein before, so this audio was really interesting and made me curious about what’s next. Can’t wait for more, and to see what others are coming up with!
